Copyright free music for YouTube Live

Copyright free music for YouTube Live is covered by the license. A creator livestream may use a track for an intro, a break, or a hype stretch. Monetized live streams are included. Credit is optional, in the description, using the credit line.

The archive is the risky copy

The live moment and the VOD are both your video. A Content ID match usually appears on the stored archive, not as a feeling you get mid-stream. Arctaholic will not claim a licensed stream. If the archive gets a claim, email the video URL and the track name to arctaholic@gmail.com. Read what a Content ID claim is so you do not treat a claim as a strike.

Do not become a radio

A scheduled debut that is the song and a static image, or a livestream that only rotates tracks, is a music upload. The license does not allow that. Your stream needs your activity in it: the game, the conversation, the event.

Vocal tracks under constant talk will sound like two people fighting. Drop the song in when you are quiet, then take it out. Twitch has the same shape.

Copyright free music for YouTube Live is allowed, and the archive is part of the same video. Schedule the stream, put the optional credit in the description before you start, and decide the cue points while you are calm. Once chat is moving you will not redesign the mix. One hotkey for the track, one for silence.

The claim, if it comes, usually lands on the VOD after the live window. Check Studio the next day, not only the live dashboard. A live chat that said nothing about copyright does not mean the archive is clean. YouTube’s claim help describes what you would see. Email the archive URL and the track name to arctaholic@gmail.com if the match is an Arctaholic song used under the license.

Do not premiere the song with a still image and a chat replay. That is a music upload wearing a Live badge. Your stream needs your activity: the game, the desk, the event, the conversation. A listening party of the catalog is the activity the license refuses.

Clipping the live show into Shorts later is fine. The Short is a new upload of your footage. Keep the same rules: your picture, the track inside it, no song-only cut. The Shorts guide covers why a claim on a short video can block it.

Write the description, including any credit, before you click go live. You will not fix it cleanly in the first ten minutes. After you end, wait for the archive to finish processing, then open the copyright column on that archive specifically. The live dashboard can look calm while the VOD collects a match. If you clip highlights the next day, treat each Short as a new upload and check those too. Send the archive URL if that is the one with the claim. Send the Short URL if the Short is the one that got blocked. One email can name both if both were flagged. Do not send the live chat replay.

Questions

Can I stream a listening party of the catalog?

No. That is a music-only stream.

If I delete the VOD, is the live use still fine?

Yes. Deleting an archive does not change whether the live use was licensed. It only removes that copy.
