Copyright free music for Facebook videos

Copyright free music for Facebook videos is included in the license: Facebook video and Facebook Reels, including monetized creator posts. Credit is optional.

Facebook matches audio too

Meta runs Rights Manager. A match can mute audio or place a claim even when you had permission from the owner. Arctaholic will not file that claim on a licensed use. If you see one, email the video URL and the track name to arctaholic@gmail.com. Do not assume every match is Arctaholic. Read who the claimant is. The YouTube version of this problem is a false copyright claim, and the habit is the same: identify the claimant, then write.

Cross-posting from TikTok

A TikTok sound sticker is not this license. If you share that TikTok straight to Facebook, you are carrying TikTok’s audio deal with you. Put the Arctaholic track in the edit, then upload that file to Facebook. See multiple platforms.

The song still cannot be the whole video. A lyric card or a visualiser is a re-upload. Your footage has to be the point.

Copyright free music for Facebook videos covers a Page and a profile the same way: your video, the track inside it, not an ad. Upload the file you exported. Do not share a TikTok or a Reel in a way that drags that app’s sound sticker across. Facebook will match audio with Rights Manager. A match can mute the clip even when you had permission from the owner. Arctaholic will not be the one who filed on a licensed post.

If the audio goes silent, open the notice and read the claimant. Email that name, the video URL, and the track name to arctaholic@gmail.com. Do not re-upload five copies while you wait. Each copy can collect its own match.

Cross-posting to Instagram from the same file is fine. Cross-posting from Facebook’s music library is a different license and often will not follow you. The multiple platforms guide is the habit: audio in the export, then upload everywhere.

A Facebook ad account is not “just the Page with money behind it.” The moment the post is an advertisement, the license stops. YouTube’s description of claims is useful even here, because the idea is the same: an automated match is not a court, and it is not a strike by itself.

Upload the export from your computer or phone files, not from a share sheet inside TikTok or Instagram. Play the Facebook preview with sound before you publish. If you are posting to a Page, check the Page’s music settings only to avoid adding Facebook’s library on top. After publish, open the video on a phone that is not logged into your admin account, because admin previews hide mutes that viewers see. If a viewer says the audio is gone, believe that check. Email the public URL and the track name. Do not boost the post while the audio question is open. A boost would turn a question into an ad. Check the post on a phone that is not your admin account.

Questions

Can I use the track in a Facebook ad?

Not under this page. Advertising needs a written permission. Organic posts are covered. See ads.

Does a Page count, or only a profile?

Both, as long as the post is a creator video and not an advertisement.
