Can I reupload copyright free music?

Can I reupload copyright free music from Arctaholic? No. The license is for videos, streams, and podcasts that are yours. It is not a right to republish the recording as a song.

These are re-uploads

A “full song” video. A visualiser. A still image or a blurred loop for the whole track. A lyric video. A compilation channel of the catalog. A livestream that only plays the songs. A playlist upload to Spotify, Apple Music, or a sample store. Credit in the description does not change any of those.

The allowed shape is your footage or your show, with the track inside it. Montages of your photos are allowed: photo montages. Lyric videos are not: lyric videos.

Why the ban exists

The song pages and the YouTube channel are the music uploads. A second channel of the same audio splits the audience and pretends the master changed hands. It did not.

If you already posted one, take it down. A claim on that video is not a “false claim.” See what “I won’t claim it” means.

Linking the song page does the introduction a re-upload was trying to do.

Can I reupload copyright free music from this catalog? No. The license is for videos, streams, and podcasts that are yours. It is not a right to republish the recording as a song. Credit in the description does not change the shape of the video.

These fail the test: a full-song video, a visualiser, a still or a blurred loop for the whole track, a lyric video, a compilation of the catalog, a livestream that only rotates tracks, an upload of the file to Spotify, Apple Music, or a sample store. A waveform and your logo still fail. A logo is not your video.

This passes: your footage or your show, with the track inside it. A montage of your photos passes. The photo guide and the lyric guide are the two borders people mix up.

The song already has a home on the songs page and on the Arctaholic channel. Link those if you want to introduce the track. Mirroring the file splits the audience and pretends the master changed hands. If you already posted a mirror, take it down. A claim on that video is not false.

YouTube’s claim help describes what a match does. It does not grant a second channel the right to host the song.

Test the upload with one question: if you delete your pictures, is the song still the video? If yes, do not upload. Link the song page instead. If you already uploaded a visualiser, a still, or a lyric cut, delete it rather than editing the description to add a credit. The credit does not change the shape. A compilation channel of many tracks is the same shape repeated. Delete the set. A real montage of your own photos can stay, and the photo guide tells you how many pictures “real” means. A claim on the visualiser is not the false-claim process. Take it down.
